The Korean Content Promotion Agency, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, is organizing the NCA Project Showcase from the 21st to the 23rd of this month. The showcase aims to highlight the achievements of short-term graduates from the New Content Academy (NCA) program.
The NCA Project Showcase will take place at the Hongneung Content Talent Campus and the Content Culture Square in Seoul. It will feature projects from 24 teams that participated in the NCA 1st term education program. These projects encompass various technologies, including AR, VR, MR, and interactive content.
The showcase provides a platform for each team to present their work to experts and the audience. The audience will have the opportunity to evaluate the projects and vote for the best works in different categories.
The first day of the showcase will focus on music, with performances and presentations from four teams. World Music Nona will captivate the audience with a media fusion performance and a 3D spatial sound album. Soye will showcase VR music content specifically designed for children and teenagers in the metaverse.
The second day will highlight exhibition and experiential content projects. LAB537, Guldari, Ludaite, and other teams will showcase projects using projection mapping and interactive media art. Additionally, Band Lab will present a social music VR platform, while the Pearl Project team will unveil an exhibition-linked application.
The final day of the showcase will feature film screenings and project presentations in the video category. Attendees will have the opportunity to watch films such as the 3D animation “Homunculus” and the short film “50 Grams of Jealousy,” gaining insight into the teams’ achievements.
In addition to the NCA Project Showcase, a special exhibition titled “AVS: Artists’ Perspective on Science” will be held. This exhibition, jointly organized by the Korean Content Promotion Agency, the Surim Cultural Foundation, and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, will showcase collaborative works between scientists, artists, and content creators.
The NCA Project Showcase aims to cultivate talents with technological convergence capabilities in the rapidly evolving content industry. The program provides specialized mentoring to enhance planning and technical skills. Those interested in attending the showcase can register in advance on the academy’s website or on-site on the day of the event.
The NCA Project Showcase not only sheds light on the achievements of short-term graduates but also promotes technological convergence in content production. This event holds significant value for the domestic content industry, fostering innovation and creativity.
