The Reform New Party has announced that they will not be forming a “satellite party” in the upcoming April 10th general elections. This decision comes as a rejection of the deceptive tactics employed by the major parties.
The Unified Leadership, consisting of Lee Nak-yeon, Lee Jun-seok, Kim Jong-min, Lee Won-wook, and Kim Tae-seop, held their first meeting in Seoul’s Insa-dong. During this meeting, they reaffirmed their commitment to ethical reporting and transparent politics.
Won Kyung-sik, the representative of the Reform New Party, stated during a press briefing that the decision not to form a satellite party is rooted in the party’s commitment to upholding principles and common sense. Won emphasized that creating a satellite party would be a violation of principles and a display of deceptive politics.
Won Kyung-sik further explained that a satellite party is not only a disguised party but also a symbol of the major parties’ deceptive politics. The Unified Reform New Party aims to distance itself from such practices and pursue a more transparent and principled approach.
The Unified Leadership expressed gratitude for the support and interest shown by the people in the unification process. They promised to swiftly activate the highest committee and fulfill the necessary tasks to meet the expectations of the people.
Lee Nak-yeon, the co-representative of the Unified Reform New Party, emphasized the importance of overcoming the remaining tasks and delivering greater gifts to the people starting from the beginning of the new year. He highlighted the progress made in overcoming various challenges and reaching the point of unification.
The unification agreement was reached on January 9th, and the party was officially named the “Reform New Party.” Lee Nak-yeon and Lee Jun-seok serve as co-representatives, with Lee Nak-yeon appointed as the overall election strategy committee chairman.
The Unified Leadership aims to present a unified front in the upcoming general elections and reject the deceptive politics employed by the major parties. They believe that upholding principles and common sense will lead to a more transparent and ethical political landscape.
The highest committee, composed of members recommended by four organizations, is scheduled to hold its first meeting on the 13th of this month at 9 am. The Unified Leadership is committed to overcoming remaining tasks and meeting the expectations of the people.
