Stomp Music, a performance planning company in Seoul, is organizing an ensemble performance titled ‘Meeting Piazzolla and Bach’. This unique concert will bring together the enchanting music of Piazzolla and the renowned ‘father of music’, Bach.

Piazzolla held Bach in the highest regard, considering him the only musician he admired throughout his life. In this performance, Piazzolla’s compositions, including ‘Fugata’ and ‘Fuga9’, which deeply reflect Bach’s contrapuntal techniques and fugue forms, will be showcased alongside the exquisite string instrument performances by Goh Sangji.

Diverse Repertoire

In addition to Piazzolla’s heartfelt tribute piece, ‘Adios Nonino’, the concert will also feature Bach’s timeless compositions such as ‘Air on the G string’ and ‘Double Violin Concerto in D minor’. The audience will be treated to a rich variety of musical pieces, including those performed on the violin and viola from the Baroque era.
