Leading education brand, Daegyo, has announced the release of ‘Chaihong Advanced Conversation Master,’ a new product for advanced-level Chinese learners. The textbook, written by professors from Beijing Language and Culture University, is composed of conversational texts based on the original book. With a total of 16 lessons, this program allows learners to engage in diverse learning activities with Chaihong’s expert teachers in listening, reading, and writing. One of its key features is the opportunity to practice speaking logically on a single topic. Learners can freely choose their learning schedule from the 16 lessons, with the aim of achieving their individual learning goals.
The court has ruled that Daegyo’s managers responsible for the Eyeline learning journal teachers cannot be classified as employees. Daegyo operates home learning and learning center businesses, with the Home Learning Business Department managing branch teams and the branch teams overseeing the learning journal teachers. A, who works as a learning journal teacher for Daegyo, was employed as an outsourced team leader in the Home Learning Business Department. The court decided that A cannot be considered an employee under the Labor Standards Act. This ruling was based on the statement that an HR team member from Daegyo provided A with guidance on working hours and that A was often absent for on-site training.
A cosmetics store in Seoul’s Mapo District has announced its search for part-time employees who can speak both Chinese and English. This recruitment announcement follows the Chinese government’s decision to allow group travel to South Korea for its citizens after a six-year hiatus. The store aims to provide services targeting Chinese tourists and is therefore seeking bilingual employees who are fluent in both Chinese and English.
