South Korean Politician Han Dong-hoon Visits Yangsan Tongdosa Temple as Third Religious Institution on His List

South Korean politician Han Dong-hoon, the emergency response committee chairman of the People Power Party, paid a visit to Yangsan Tongdosa Temple, marking his third visit to a religious institution. On the afternoon of the 12th, Han Dong-hoon visited Yangsan Tongdosa Temple, where he met with the head monk of Jogye Order, Jongjeong Yeha Seongpa Daejongsa, for a discussion. He also had a meeting with Jin Woo-sunim, the head of administration at Tongdosa Temple. This visit to Yangsan Tongdosa Temple is Han Dong-hoon’s third visit to a religious institution since taking office.

Previously, on December 29th of last year, Han Dong-hoon visited Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul and paid his respects to Catholic elder Cardinal Nicholas Cheong Jin-suk. On the 9th of this month, he visited Guinsa Temple in Danyang, Chungbuk, and attended the commemorative ceremony for the 112th anniversary of the birth of the Great Zen Master Jinul.

Strengthening Communication and Religious Understanding

Han Dong-hoon aims to enhance communication with local communities and promote religious understanding and cooperation through his visits to religious institutions. Particularly, his visit to Yangsan Tongdosa Temple as the third religious institution reflects his interest in and respect for religious organizations.
