South Korean Justice Minister Criticizes Kim Gun-hee Special Prosecutor Law
South Korean Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon made significant remarks regarding the Kim Gun-hee Special Prosecutor Law, highlighting the importance of the law and the problems with it. Han attended the Cabinet meeting and the National Assembly’s Legislation and Judiciary Committee, where he addressed questions about the law.
In the Cabinet meeting held in Seoul on the 19th, Han stated, “There should be no exceptions before the law,” expressing his views on the Kim Gun-hee Special Prosecutor Law. He pointed out the decision-making process of the bill, saying, “Isn’t it the Justice Party that recommends and decides on special prosecutors?” He also highlighted the problem of including provisions that broadcast live toxic substances related to investigations.
