Seoul Forest is hosting a mesmerizing winter lights exhibition called Winterlight. This exhibition, presented by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Daelim Cultural Foundation, is the first project of the “Moving Art Park” this winter. Renowned German artist Christopher Bauder is showcasing his work for the first time in Asia at Seoul Forest. The Winterlight exhibition, featuring Christmas trees and LED lights, can be enjoyed at Seoul Forest until January 7th next year.
The exhibition features over 200 Christmas trees hanging upside down and more than 80,000 LED lights, creating a festive Christmas ambiance. Visitors can also experience a 30-minute walk through the Christmas forest, accompanied by sound that responds to the lights.
To visit the exhibition, visitors must make a reservation. Reservations can be made through the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s public service reservation system, the Daelim Cultural Foundation’s website, or the app. The exhibition can be visited from 6 PM to 8 PM on weekdays and until 9 PM on weekends and public holidays, with 30-minute intervals between each session.
Yoo Young-bong, the head of Seoul’s Green Leisure Destination, expressed his excitement for this project and hopes that it will offer a unique winter experience in the park. He also mentioned that they plan to introduce various new programs in the park to provide diverse experiences and leisure activities.
