Washington D.C. – Leaders of the March for Life movement have revealed the theme for the 2024 march, scheduled to take place in January. As announced by pro-life leaders at an event in Washington D.C., the 51st March for Life will center around the slogan “With Every Woman, For Every Child.”
“We are striving to identify the most urgent needs at present, and the core of the pro-life movement is supporting mothers,” said Jeanne Mancini, the president of the March for Life. “We believe it is crucial to emphasize this point and lead with love rather than political dominance.”
“It is important to demonstrate what this means right now.”
The 2024 March for Life is scheduled for January 18th and will be preceded by various pro-life events and a resources summit two days prior. This annual event was originally created to protest the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion in the United States.
Over the years, the March for Life has evolved to focus not only on the judiciary but also on the legislature. Following the potential overturning of Roe v. Wade, the march is concluding with a route adjustment that passes through the National Mall, between the Supreme Court and the Capitol building.
“We are emphasizing the importance of legislative institutions,” emphasized Mancini. “The American people can shape these laws through elected officials.”
The March for Life, founded in 1974 by activist and Catholic believer Nellie Gray, has become the largest pro-life event in the United States. Gray’s inaugural march 45 years ago had a lasting impact on the pro-life community, with many activists attending the march for over a decade.
The 2024 March for Life aims to carry on its mission of supporting expectant mothers and advocating for the rights of the unborn through a new theme and route. The event serves as a platform for pro-life activists to demonstrate their dedication to the cause and their desire to bring about change in the United States.
As the event approaches, thousands of participants are expected to join the March for Life, showcasing their commitment to respecting the sanctity of life and their longing to make a difference in the United States following the Roe v. Wade decision.
