Jeju Resident Artists’ Nature-themed Art Exhibition to be Held at Lee Jung Seop Art Museum

A nature-themed art exhibition featuring Jeju resident artists will take place at the renowned Lee Jung Seop Art Museum. The exhibition, titled “Nature Within Me,” will showcase the works of artists Kim Hyun Sook and Kim San.

Exhibition Details

The exhibition will run from the 6th of the month until April 7th at the Lee Jung Seop Art Museum’s exhibition hall in Jeju. Visitors will have the opportunity to view 10 artworks by Kim Hyun Sook and 12 artworks by Kim San, both of whom have deep connections to Jeju.

Artists’ Background

Kim Hyun Sook, a distinguished artist specializing in Korean painting, has an impressive artistic career spanning over four decades. She has participated in 16 solo exhibitions and more than 460 domestic and international group exhibitions. Kim Hyun Sook has held significant positions such as the Chairman of the Jeju Branch of the Korean Fine Arts Association and the Director of the Jeju Provincial Art Museum.

Kim San, on the other hand, embarked on his artistic journey during his college years in 2010. Since then, he has held nine solo exhibitions and participated in over 70 group exhibitions. His talent and dedication to his craft were recognized when he was invited to participate in the prestigious “Young Colors 2021” program by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.
