A Russian man named Sergey Vladimirovich Ochigava managed to travel to Los Angeles without a passport or airline ticket. According to The New York Post, Ochigava bypassed security checks at a Danish airport and boarded a flight to LA the next day.

Journey Without Documentation

On November 4th, Ochigava, a 46-year-old Russian man, secretly boarded a Scandinavian Airlines flight from Copenhagen to Los Angeles International Airport. Despite not having a passport or ticket, he successfully passed through the security checkpoint at Copenhagen airport and spent the night in one of the terminals.

The following day, Ochigava managed to board Scandinavian Airlines Flight 931 without being detected. During the 11-hour flight, flight attendants noticed his unusual behavior, such as sitting in multiple empty seats and attempting to engage other passengers in conversation. However, his name did not appear on the passenger manifest.

Detection and Arrest

Upon landing at LAX, Ochigava was stopped by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers. He was unable to provide any form of identification or travel documents, and his explanation did not match the evidence. CBP officers conducted a search of his belongings and discovered what appeared to be Russian and Israeli identification documents, as well as a partially visible photo of a passport without a picture on his phone.
