The Atlantic Highlands Theater, with a rich history dating back to the early 1920s, holds a special place in Kevin Smith’s heart. To honor his connection with the theater and his podcast network, Smith renamed the theater to “SModcastle Cinemas.”

Efforts to Overcome Financial Challenges

Former Atlantic Highlands mayor, Fredrick Last, sold the theater, including an adjacent building, to Kevin Smith. While the exact purchase price remains undisclosed, reports suggest it was listed for $2.6 million.

The event aims to attract audiences and raise additional funds to support the theater’s operation.
