Renowned South Korean artist Yoon Jong-seok and his wife Park Sung-soo recently concluded their month-long art trip in Turkey and are eagerly looking forward to their next adventure in Greece. The couple embarked on a unique art journey, traversing through Anatolia, Turkey, in a cross-country art expedition.

An Inspiring Stay in Antalya

During their stay in Antalya, Yoon Jong-seok and Park Sung-soo resided in a cozy beachfront house, where they dedicated their time to artistic endeavors. The house boasted breathtaking views of the turquoise sea, visible from both the bedroom and living room. As the winter approached, the sea transformed each evening, showcasing hues of red and pink, which Yoon described as “a sea reminiscent of a woman.”

Exploring the Natural and Historical Wonders of Turkey

Throughout their month-long trip, Yoon Jong-seok and Park Sung-soo immersed themselves in the diverse natural and historical wonders of Anatolia. Despite the limited availability of art materials, the couple found inspiration in the region’s varied landscapes. Additionally, Yoon participated in the Gaia Children Art Sharing Project in Gaziantep, providing him with valuable time for reflection and reevaluation of his artistic direction.

Artistic Delights in Athens

Upon arriving in Athens, Yoon Jong-seok wasted no time in visiting the National Gallery Museum, which showcases a wide range of artworks spanning various periods in Greek history. The couple also had the opportunity to appreciate contemporary art at the Athens Contemporary Art Museum. To reach Greece, they made ferry reservations from Cesme, Turkey, and boarded a large passenger ship bound for Piraeus. Yoon Jong-seok is excited to explore various art museums in Greece and immerse himself in the world of art once again. They are also preparing to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s on a ferry ride to Bari, Italy, as they continue their European journey.
