Busan Dongnae-gu Calls for Artwork Submissions for Dongnae-gu City Hall

Busan Dongnae-gu has announced a call for artwork submissions to be installed in the upcoming Dongnae-gu City Hall, scheduled for completion in September next year. The selection of four art pieces will be conducted through this open call, based on the Cultural and Arts Promotion Act and the Busan City Ordinance on the Installation and Management of Artwork in Buildings.

Overview of the Call

This call for artwork submissions will run until January 26, 2024. The submission period for artwork will be from January 29 to 30, from 9 AM to 5 PM. The call is open to all artists in South Korea who are 19 years old and above, and the focus is on four painting pieces to be installed inside the building.

Application Process

Artists who wish to participate can visit the district office’s website and refer to the notice board for the guidelines. They need to complete the application form provided in the guidelines and submit it in person to the Dongnae-gu Culture and Tourism Department during the submission period.

Evaluation and Results

All submitted artworks will be evaluated by the City Artwork Review Committee according to the evaluation criteria. The selected four artists will be given priority in the production and installation of their respective artwork through a contract agreement.
