South Korean politicians, Lee Jae-myung, Lee Nak-yeon, Kim Boo-kyum, and Jeong Se-gyun, had planned to meet at a film premiere. However, their meetings were canceled due to various reasons. While Lee Jae-myung and Lee Nak-yeon were scheduled to meet at the film premiere on the 18th, Lee Nak-yeon could only attend the event at 7 PM due to scheduling conflicts. Meanwhile, Lee Jae-myung is planning separate future meetings with Kim Boo-kyum and Jeong Se-gyun. Both Lee Jae-myung and Kim Boo-kyum expressed their intention to attend the film premiere. Unfortunately, Jeong Se-gyun couldn’t attend due to personal reasons. The representative is coordinating a meeting with Kim Boo-kyum for the 20th and another meeting with Jeong Se-gyun for the 28th. Kwon Chil-seung, the senior spokesperson, stated that the final schedule is still being adjusted.

The meetings between the representative and the two former prime ministers are aimed at fostering unity within the party. They are expected to discuss specific current issues, including controversies over electoral reform, requests for resignations from non-mainstream representatives, and the formation of a new party by the former representative. The representative plans to explain the party’s stance on current issues to the two former prime ministers and seek their understanding. The representative initiated meetings with Jeong Se-gyun and Kim Boo-kyum, indicating the possibility of the former representative leaving the party if it does not show a willingness for significant change. The representative had high hopes for communication with Lee Nak-yeon both within and outside the Democratic Party. Recently, the representative made a gesture of reconciliation with the former representative, who officially established the new party. The former representative stated that he would not stop if the Democratic Party does not show a will for transformative change.

The representative plans to have separate future meetings with Kim Boo-kyum and Jeong Se-gyun. The meeting with Kim Boo-kyum is being coordinated for the 20th, while the meeting with Jeong Se-gyun is scheduled for the 28th. These meetings are aimed at further discussions and dialogue.
