Goseong-gun in Gyeongsangnam-do province held the ‘2023 Gyeongnam Goseong-gun Tourism Photo Contest’ award ceremony and exhibition. This competition aimed to showcase the beauty of Goseong’s tourist resources and natural landscapes through photography. Over the course of the competition, more than 540 works were submitted, and after expert evaluation, a total of 76 works were selected.
The gold prize was awarded to Jeong Myeong-ja’s ‘Heavenly Temple.’ The silver prizes went to Ahn Jong-chan’s ‘Bountiful Harvest’ and Choi Ok-yeo’s ‘Stone Horse,’ while the bronze prizes were given to Bae Chun-deok’s ‘Memories at Sangjokam Cave,’ Jung Hyun-hwa’s ‘Secret of Jangsan Forest,’ and Park Jae-young’s ‘Beauty of Dinosaur Festival.’
The mayor of Goseong-gun expressed gratitude for creating an opportunity to promote the charm and potential of Goseong through this contest. The award-winning photos will be exhibited alongside photos submitted by members of the Goseong branch of the Korea Photographers Association. The exhibition aims to promote the excellence and beauty of Goseong’s tourist resources to visitors.
Gyeongnam Goseong-gun is hosting the nationwide tourism photo contest, organized by the Goseong branch of the Korea Photographers Association. The competition, which took place from August to November, invited photography enthusiasts from across the country to submit works that express the beauty of Goseong’s tourist resources and natural landscapes.
The award-winning photos, along with 40 photos submitted by members of the Goseong branch of the Korea Photographers Association, will be exhibited at the Goseong Museum until the 10th of next month. This exhibition aims to promote the excellence and beauty of Goseong’s tourist resources to visitors.
Goseong-gun Mayor Lee Sang-geun regarded this contest as a significant opportunity to share works that effectively depict Goseong’s tourist resources and cultural heritage, creating a platform for attracting more tourists. He expressed his gratitude to the many photography enthusiasts who have helped create an important resource for widely promoting Goseong’s hidden charm and potential.
