Seoul Auction Blue, a specialized art investment company, has announced that they have selected Andy Warhol’s ‘Dollar Sign’ artwork as their first fractional investment product. This artwork, valued at 700 million won, will serve as a significant milestone for Seoul Auction Blue.
Seoul Auction Blue has transitioned from the traditional group purchase model to a securities contract format, expanding accessibility and participation in art investments. This new approach adopts a fair and balanced opportunity for investors through equal/proportional subscription.
Andy Warhol’s ‘Dollar Sign’ artwork, sized at 51.0×40.5cm (Size 8), was auctioned off for 620 million 2,623 thousand won at Seoul Auction in September. The Korean Association of Art Appraisers and the Korean Integrated Appraisal Association have evaluated the value of this artwork at 700 million won and 750 million 3,000 thousand won, respectively.
Utilizing data from similar artworks, the estimated fair value range is between 620 million 2,500 thousand won and 960 million 6,700 thousand won, allowing investors to comprehensively assess the potential value of this artwork.
During the subscription period from December 20th to December 26th, a total of 7,000 shares will be issued at 100,000 won per share. The maximum investment amount per individual is set at less than 50 million won, ensuring wider participation.
Subscription deposits will be managed and provided through KB Securities accounts, offering investors a safe and transparent process. All subscription-related information will be disclosed through public announcements and the Sotu app, making it easy to access essential information.
Subject to approval of the securities registration statement, Seoul Auction Blue plans to resume fractional investment services next month, allowing art enthusiasts and investors to participate in the dynamic art market.
Seoul Auction Blue strives to set new standards in art investment, aiming to lead the art fractional investment market through unparalleled expertise and adherence to financial policies. For more detailed information, please visit the official Seoul Auction Blue website.
