The Berlin Philharmonic, renowned as one of the world’s top orchestras, has recently released their latest album titled ‘Berlin Phil Jin Eun-suk Edition.’ This highly anticipated album features compositions by contemporary music composer Jin Eun-suk, eliciting a remarkable response in the music industry.

The album set, available for purchase on the official website of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, consists of two CDs, one Blu-ray disc, and a booklet containing explanations of the works. The album captures a live performance that took place on June 5, 2021, when the Berlin Philharmonic reopened after a 7-month closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jin Eun-suk, a graduate of Seoul National University’s Composition Department, continued her studies under the guidance of renowned composer Georgi Ligeti at the Hamburg National Music University. Her talent and dedication have led to numerous accolades, including the Grammy Award in 2004.

International Recognition and Global Performances

Jin Eun-suk has held prestigious positions such as the resident composer of the Berlin Deutsche Symphonie Orchestra in 2001, the resident composer of the Tongyeong International Music Festival in 2005, and the artistic director of the Seoul Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra in 2010. Her compositions have been performed by top orchestras worldwide, including the Bavarian State Opera, the New York Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra.

Since last year, Jin Eun-suk has been serving as the artistic director of the Tongyeong International Music Festival, actively engaging in various musical activities.
