Little Angels Art Troupe Celebrates 61st Anniversary with ‘Harmony’ Performance

Little Angels Art Troupe, a renowned South Korean performing arts group, is set to celebrate its 61st anniversary with a special performance titled ‘Harmony.’ The performance, which will take place on December 9th at the Universal Art Center in Seoul’s Gwangjin-gu district, will showcase the talents of elementary and middle school students in Korean dance and choir.

A Diverse Repertoire

The ‘Harmony’ performance will feature a diverse repertoire of 10 traditional Korean dance pieces, including Buchum (drum dance), Sijibganeunnal (a day of going to a wedding), Buchaechum (fan dance), Chunhyang Story, Hwagum (flower sword dance), Gayageumbyeongchang (gayageum instrumental performance), Ganggangsullae (traditional circle dance), Talchum (mask dance), Seolnal Achim (morning of Lunar New Year), and Janggochum (hourglass-shaped drum dance). In addition to the dance performances, the audience will also have the opportunity to enjoy various choir performances, including folk songs and pop songs.

Special Performance as Part of ‘2023 Spring of Performances’

Prior to the regular performance, a special performance will be held on December 6th as part of the ‘2023 Spring of Performances’ program, organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to support student attendance at cultural performances. Since its establishment in 1962, the Little Angels Art Troupe has built a repertoire of children’s Korean dance performances and has been showcasing them internationally since 1965. The troupe serves as a cultural ambassador, introducing Korean traditional arts to more than 60 countries and promoting peace through their performances.
