A former employee who sabotaged the Amazon website has now risen to a leadership position within the company. Beril Tomey, during her first year at Amazon, intentionally altered the software code of the order confirmation page, causing it to display as blank for over an hour. She then proceeded to modify the database of the Kindle e-reader, rendering users unable to log in or download anything. The scale of her actions caught the attention of Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, who promptly sent an email to inquire about the issue.

She is responsible for the “Last Mile” delivery department, which manages the logistics of delivering packages right to customers’ doorsteps.
